A Company has reached out to your (your team) to create a solution to aid their users order food online.
Using the design thinking approach, walk me through how you intend to create the solution.

Solution:

Before we decide on how to help the company serve its users better, we need to know who their users are and how we can solve their problems. Also not forgetting their competitors, although this may not be as important as working on how to serve its customers or users better.

Firstly; We start with a term called “User Research” and this is part of the empathy approach as there is more to it along the line. We make research on both the users and the competitors. Regarding the users, we come up with either “quantitative research” or “qualitative research”, also not forgetting to do interviews with the prospective users and the existing users. With this, we get to know their pain points and their needs as this will be the right opportunity for us to satisfy them better and to make improvements on both the services and the products(food). This is where we define our purpose and make our solution approach

Secondly: Once we’ve achieved this, we can go on to make a “User Persona”. A user persona is more or less like an imaginary ideal user or customer of the company and product, so getting to know about him/her will help decide on how best to solve the problem. Still on the user persona, we create what is called a user story for the persona, e.g. what he/she likes to eat, type of delicacy, delivery choice, payment choice and method, and so on.

Thirdly: After gathering all our information, we then get to the stage making sketches, wireframing, user flows, designing, and prototyping. These steps are the most important steps before we get to testing as they are delicate to what we are to achieve regarding satisfying our users or customers. Those sketches tend to help us bring all our ideas and information that we’ve gathered to life. Creating a wireframe, either low resolution wireframing or high resolution wireframing helps us to have a visual idea about the design approach or concept, which is quite different from sketching unless we decide to wireframe using sketches but sketches generally help to bring all ideas to life.

User flow helps one to know the direction of the design approach and how it works. After all these have been put to place, then making an actual design can commence with ease. Once we are done with the design, then we get to prototyping. Prototyping is the process or procedure an app or design follows after it has been made (like how it will function or how it can be used).

Lastly: After all we’ve achieved, then we can test the product. This testing procedure or process is important because it is going to help us discover our flaws and how we can improve before finally pushing it out to the users. It is in this stage that the term “repeat” comes in because if there’s any flaw, we can always go back to the root of the problem and correct it, then we test again till we are sure it is ready to go to the public.

These are the steps I intend to follow to achieve my goal to solve the problem.
